Innovative solutions for the aerospace industry
Innovative Solutions
CFS Aero is inspired by an aerospace legacy that empowers us to meet and resolve the challenges of tomorrow.
From our operations in North America to Europe, we invest in the people that matter to support your business, 24/7. CFS Aero has added additional capacity to a modern state of the art MRO/OEM facility at Warwick in the heart of the Midlands and in North Wales at Hawarden Airport near Chester in the United Kingdom. Supporting; Turbine, Rotax, Structures and R & D.
Our services
Turbine
With CFS Aero in the UK as the Part 145 facility and CFS Aero in the US as the type certificate holders for the ALF502 and LF507 turbines we support the global fleet 24/7.
In addition we have test cell capability, that coupled with our turbine knowledge allow us to explore further, off wing turbine support for both OEMs and MROs across a range of products.
Rotax
As an Authorised Distributor for Rotax Aircraft Engines, CFS Aero supports the national Rotax Service Centres and Dealer Network with new engines, genuine parts and technical support.
The company also runs regular Rotax iRMT training courses in the UK in our Training Centre at its Warwick facility.
Structures
Structures capability is being expanded rapidly within CFS Aero to include both traditional engineering fabrication solutions and composite repairs. The MRO supply chain issues that have led to excessive repair turnaround times, requires an immediate solution, which is where CFS Aero can help.
R&D
Innovative solutions require subject matter experts with the right competencies. Having worked in partnership on fully synthetic fuel solutions, to hybrid engines, to single lever flying systems, to drone technologies, to future airframe solutions, we have the experience to deliver.
“During a recent VIP project, KLMUKE found the service and cooperation from CFS Aero to be excellent.
High quality, great communication and accurate/clear invoicing ensured a successful project from start to finish. We look forward to working with the team at CFS Aero again in the future.”
Sales Manager
“We approached CFS Aero to see if they could design and build a digital test rig at speed to enable us to set a world record using synthetic aviation fuel. Their no nonsense approach, coupled with a deep technical understanding of the Rotax engine, enabled them to give us confidence we could set the world record. CFS Aero are a fantastic team, with a great ethos, that can rise to a challenge and get great results quickly.”
RAF Rapid Capabilities Office
“CFS Aero were the airframe and engine partner in the Royal Air Force’s “Project MARTIN” with the objective to demonstrate the viability and performance of synthetic “drop-in” fuels for aircraft.
These fuels will provide the solution to fossil-free flight. Together we secured the Guinness World Records® title for the first aircraft powered by synthetic fuel on 2nd November 2021 after an intense 5-month programme.
This challenging timeline allowed no room for error and could not have been done without the skill, experience and above all fantastic teamwork from all those involved at CFS Aero.”
CEO, Zero Petroleum
“CFS Aero have been an Authorised Distributor for many years and have continued to prove to us that they are at the forefront not just of professionally supporting our clients with technical services, Rotax engines and genuine parts but have helped develop many exciting new Design In programs from manned to unmanned aircraft, and even seaplanes.
It is a great pleasure working with the whole CFS Aero team and we are very happy to see that their efforts have paid off on so many occasions and were thrilled for them to win the Global Distributor of the year award! The whole ROTAX aircraft team is delighted and proud to have CFS Aero as part of our global family.”
Manager Aircraft Business
“Cobham Aviation Services has been a successful BAE146/RJ operator for more than 30 years. The FIFO and night Freight services we fly require the highest degree of reliability and operational dependability in the remotest locations of Australia.
This can only be achieved if the operational, engineering and support network achieves a whole of aircraft outcome. To that end the engine support provided by CFS Aero encompasses such forethought and planning through tailored and specialised work scoping to consider the operational, environmental and reliability requirements to optimise safety and on wing longevity.
We continue to value the support we have received from CFS Aero to date and look forward to continuing our relationship with them into the future.”
Strategic Procurement Director
“ As the Main Distributor for UK and Ireland for C42 aircraft, support for the Rotax series of engines is critically important to us.
When we have needed to call upon the knowledge base for Rotax engines within the UK, CFS Aero have always exceeded our expectations.
In order to provide our customers with the level of service for their Rotax engines they expect , CFS Aero have provided our aircraft engineers with outstanding training and aftersales support”
The Light Aircraft Company LTD
CFS Aero has been a critical support for us over the last year as we reach the final stages of the Wright’s megawatt class propulsion system. Our system interfaces with an ALF 502 fan frame and CFS Aero’s engineers, both in the US and the UK, could not have been more supportive with their “can do” R&D approach and their excellent engineering knowledge helping us navigate this project. We look forward to continue working with them in the pursuit of our goal of an all-electric, zero-emissions aircraft serving one-hour flights.
